Zoog Disney is what the Disney channel use to call the programming block that ran from the afternoon into the late evening. The shows that are on the Disney channel during this time are aimed at preteens (also know as tweens) through young teenagers who are about 15-years-old. Some of the shows that are on this channel during this time period include Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire, Smart Guy, The Famous Jett Jackson and So Weird. Unfortunately, this name was dropped in 2003 as part of Disney's re-branding campaign in order to give the channel a more hip image.

Before the Disney channel did away with Zoog Disney, they connected it with the Disney channel online web site in a neat way. On this website there was a MySpace.com feeling. In this type of an environment, children had the opportunity to interact with one another. They could also see their screen names on television, which was very exciting to some of them. This happened during times when the network promos were seen. At this time, anthropomorphic characters that were called zoogs were seen “wearing” these children's screen names. Of course, there were also lots of games on the web site to help encourage children to hang out there.

As you can probably see, Zoog Disney was very popular with a lot of children. During this time of great popularity, the Disney channel had 2 logos: 1 for Disney itself and 1 for Zoog. This existed until the Disney channel remodeled itself again in 2002. While there are still a lot of unique bumpers between their programming, there is no more Zoog. This is quite unfortunate because while people still really enjoy the new Disney programming, there are also a lot of people who are really missing the old Zoog.
