disney movie vault

At some point in time, everyone has heard about the Disney movie vault. A lot of these people may not have known what this is or how it works. If you are 1 of these people who have heard this term without any understanding of what it meant, it is something important to understand, especially if you like to collect these movies for yourself or for your child. Basically this is what they call the “retirement home” for these movies. On the date given, stores are suppose to stop selling all of these movies.

Each store's policy is a little different when it comes to the Disney movie vault. You will find that there are some stores, such as the Disney store that will actually take these videos off of their shelves and send them back to the Disney company. However, some stores will sell whatever is still left on their shelves. It really is up to each store to create their own policy.

Once these movies are taken off of the shelves they will not be sold for another 10 years. However, this has been known to change if Disney gets into financial trouble. When this happens, they have been known to take movies out of the Disney movie vault early. Your local Disney store will know when movies are slated to go into, or be released from the vault. Some movies that are slated to go there this year are “Peter Pan, Return to Neverland,” “Beauty and The Beast,” “The Enchanted Christmas,” “Cinderella II” and “The Little Mermaid II.”

Of course, Disney will be releasing movies from the vault as they place others into it. They will also be releasing new movies as well. Nevertheless, it is important to understand these things so that you can be sure that you have those movies that you want.
