Meetings and Conventions magazine just recently held their annual Gold Awards, for which Disney con swept the gold. This comes shortly after this magazine honored Disney with 3 of the meeting industry's most prestigious awards: the Gold Key Award, the Gold Tee Award and the Gold Platter Award. Disney has actually received the annual Gold Key Award for 18 years now out of recognition of how it has the world's finest meeting properties, each of them having won the award. These resorts include Disney's BoardWalk Resort, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.
The Disney con centers have also won the annual Gold Tee Award for 10 years now as well. This is in recognition of the world's finest golf resort properties. It is also the third year in which Disney has earned the Gold Platter award. This is an award that is given in recognition of quality food and beverage services.
These awards are determined through surveying readers of the Meetings And Conventions magazine. In this survey resorts are judged by the overall attitude of the staff, the quality of guest services, how proficient they were at handling reservations, the availability of technical equipment and the range of recreation facilities available.
Disney con received superb ratings in all of these areas.
